LS – 25/10 Crowd Sourcing

What is meant by it?

25/10 Crowd Sourcing is a liberating structure that can a big crowd come up with great ideas within a matter of 30 minutes or even less. It helps in spreading innovations by making people notice the patterns in a fun way.

How is it done?

An open space without chairs and tables is required for 25/10 Crowd Sourcing as participants will be standing. Only One index card will be given to every participant. You can begin this organizational structure by asking the participants what big idea they would recommend if the participants were ten times bolder than they are as of now. Each participant will write down their view on their index card and start passing around their cards. Then, they would score the card of the other participant. The ideas with the top 3 scores would be shared among the whole group.

What is its purpose?

The agile liberating structure can be used for encouraging people to think boldly and to generate ideas that can help everyone to achieve a specific goal or solve a challenge.

What is its Tips and Traps?

Make sure that everyone is in a fun and comfortable environment. The scoring scale should be described to the participants clearly. The participants should revise their idea before writing it down so that it comes up more compellingly. Make sure to ask feedback from the group. In the end, you can post all the index cards on a wall with the card with the highest score on the top of all the other cards.
